I was diagnosed with severe bursitis in my left elbow in mid February. I saw an orthopaedist in March who attempted to aspirate my bursa and also injected cortisone in the bursa. This treatment had absolutely no effect. A couple of weeks later the same doctor successfully aspirated over 30 cc’s of fluid from my elbow. The next day all of the fluid had returned – my elbow was swollen up to the size of a golf ball. The only alternative the doctor had was surgery, which he pointed out often had limited success.

Shoulder bursitis and tendentious

Eight years ago I had a work place accident and injured my left shoulder. After extensive physio & sports rehab the doctors advised me to get cortisone injections. This order is my second one…. I developed a Baker’s cyst (I think) behind my left knee, jumping up and down hard on a truckload of brush I was trying to compact…. Bursitis in shoulder & elbow

Hi, I have had bursitis in my right shoulder for more than 3 years, after about 6 months of physio, I still have a lot of pain. Shoulder Bursitis

I had a sudden case of Shoulder Bursitis, in fact, the Orthopaedic Surgeon said it was the most severe and immediate he had seen in years. He gave cortisone shot and Rx Narcotics that barely cut the pain.
