I was diagnosed with severe bursitis in my left elbow in mid February. I saw an orthopaedist in March who attempted to aspirate my bursa and also injected cortisone in the bursa. This treatment had absolutely no effect. A couple of weeks later the same doctor successfully aspirated over 30 cc’s of fluid from my elbow. The next day all of the fluid had returned – my elbow was swollen up to the size of a golf ball. The only alternative the doctor had was surgery, which he pointed out often had limited success.

Fluid on knee

I had a sac of fluid to the upper-right of my knee. Quite large. I continued to pursue my daily routine which consisted of morning workouts at the gym including ‘spin’ class. Baker's cyst

Bakers Cyst on the knee

I hurt my knee quite severely when out bushwalking in the Mt Mitchell National Park. I hadn’t been doing much strenuous walking and on the way down I got a nasty pain in my knee.
